The Sponsor purchased the property in April 2013 and commenced interior demolition in July 2013. The Ebenezer Baptist Church was the former owner and housed the missionary on the ground floor. The Sponsor received approval from the Zoning and Planning Boards to build 20 residential and one commercial unit
Strategic and Significant Local Partnerships
Hudson River Housing, the regional not-for-profit housing agency has secured a grant from New York State to take 15 of the 20 residential apartments under a long-term lease. The Sponsor will be working closely with Scenic Hudson, a prominent and active environmental, land preservation organization and Mass+ Architects out of Poughkeepsie, to connect the Property to, and beautify the surroundings around the Fallkill Creek which runs behind 400 Maple Street.
